Kenneth Merritt was my 4th, 5th and 6th grade teacher at Bernhardt School in the 1940's. Was Merritt Elementary named for him?

Yes Cloyd it was named after Ken Merritt. I am his grandson and that was a great honor to see his 50 years of teaching honorerd in this fashio
