I went to school here (Polk Elementary) in 1964-1966. I was here in my 2nd and 3rd. grade years before going over to Mayfair for 4th through 6th grades. Seeing the photo of the school brings back lots of fun memories. I thoroughly enjoyed attending school here when we lived in Dearborn Heights. We moved from Michigan to Arizona in 1970, after I finished 7th grade at Oakley W. Best Middle School (Jr. High back then). So sad to learn that Mayfair was razed. What happened?
