Description: Thanks to the fact that it’s visible from Interstate 95 and less than 10 minutes from L.L. Bean, Freeport Country Club is a particularly active course. A nine-hole set of links established in the late 1960s, it’s a 36 par and begins in flat fields just off the highway, ending in the woods beyond. Easily walkable, its short track makes it a good course for beginners. The facilities are set up much like you’d expect a place that sees a lot of guests to be, with a full pro shop, club and cart rentals, a practice green, and a bar at which you can grab a snack after your round. Tee times are recommended.
