With more than 800 members, the group offers an enormous variety of activities to help people adjust to a move or a transition in their lives. The club breaks down into dozens of special interest groups, including photography, hiking, pursuing adventure, volunteering, and arts and crafts. If you want to join the fun, you must apply for membership within two years of moving to the area. Exceptions are for those who have gone through a life change, such as retirement, divorce, or widowhood. Its motto, “There are no strangers here, only friends we have not met,” seems to say it all about this popular group.
