Description: The Coquille River Lighthouse is located on the north bank of the Coquille River in Bullards Beach State Park. The lighthouse was illuminated in 1896 to help steer mariners across the hazardous bar. Interestingly, this lighthouse is powered by solar energy. The lighthouse is open year-round during daylight hours and you can tour the tower watch room by request. To get to the lighthouse, drive 2 miles north of Bandon on US 101 to the entrance to Bullards Beach State Park.
