Description: This unique building with 12 rooms with private baths used to house a convent; it’s a historic landmark estate sitting on the hill above downtown Astoria with excellent views of the city and the Columbia River. The common rooms are lovely, with lots of intact moulding and a nice fireplace, with newspapers and coffee just waiting to be consumed by guests. The hotel also boasts an elaborate Captain’s Suite with a fireplace, soaking tub, wet bar, kitchenette, and panoramic views of the Columbia River. Another recommended room is the Lewis and Clark Room that boasts wonderful views of the Columbia River, a queen bed, a sofa bed, and a romantic, gas fireplace. It also has a private collection of books that provide excellent reading about the Lewis and Clark expedition. A restaurant serves dinner to guests, and banquets and catering can be arranged. Complimentary continental breakfasts are served.
