Davis Campus of the University of California


The Davis Campus is part of the University of California. It is located in Davis and considered one of the top public research universities in the United States. It is also one of 10 campuses in the world considered a premier public university. The campus is in Central Valley near the state capital and San Francisco Bay Area. The small town atmosphere makes the campus quite comfortable and one might wish to tour it. The campus is on 5,300 acres of land with plenty of events throughout the year.

One place to visit is Robert and Margrit Mondavi Center for the Performing Arts. They often have plays and other shows throughout the year. Food choices include Coffee House, Silo Union Complex, and University Dining. Arts and culture is prevalent at the Davis Campus with Richard Nelson Gallery and Fine Arts Collection, Design Museum, Carl Gorman Museum, MU Art Lounge, Craft Center Gallery, Shields Library, and the Theater and Dance Productions.

Academic departments include African American Studies, Agriculture, Environmental, Biology, Anthropology, Animal Science, Art Studies, Civil Engineering, Communication, Literature, Languages, and Film. History, Humanities, International Relations and many other programs are offered at the Davis Campus.
