What the heck is wrong with this court system and the society that we live in? The social worker in most cases gets her experience w/each case. Many of them appear brain dead when it comes to understanding the needs of a child placed in foster care, and the wants & desires of a paternal grandparent. Because of mistakes of the biological parents, the grandparents are also accused. (falsely) They are very good at making left turns in the middle of the situation & creating a whole different element in court hearings. And...if they become really good at it, they do not become unbiased as they are to remain...and can turn a child's life into a living hell! Many children go thru what I will call "Judicial Kidnapping"!!!They are placed w/foster parents who do not know anything about these children. The kids are never told the real reason they are their. And many times (most of the time) feel they were abandoned by families, feel it was "their fault"and are forced to remain in foster care for "YEARS"!!!! Yes, YEARS. Social workers, foster parents and some CASA workers get caught up in a power struggle between themselves and the biological families. They think because they took a few classes, that this qualfies them to play God, and make life long decissions about these children that will affect them for the rest of their lives. It's the same as if a stranger picked them up on a street. Shame on the judicial system for failing, for making stupid rules, for not following thru with trying to reunite the families. This causes innocent parents to loose jobs, their homes, there lives, their babies. Everyone makes mstakes. But please, be certain, beyond a shadow of a doubt, "before" the child id removed and placed into foster care, that there actually was Abuse or Neglect! My neices have been in foster care for 3 years! My sister is their grandmother who reported to the police that her granddaughters told her they were molestd by their mother's boyfriend. So the athorities removed the girls from the grandparents home and they have not seen them since! The devisation is killing them! They did nothing wrong.
If you can, Please say a prayer that these precious little girls will be returned to my sister on Tuesday.
