I agree, partially. It not only has to do the job, but do it cheaper than humans. AI will definitely become cheaper, but some instances are not economically viable. Yet. AI doesn't take sick days.

Ohhh, it already is. You have to pay people 80-100K a year do work that Chat GPT is doing for free right now.

The same that we've been doing, complain about every thing, begrudge others their successes, get as much as we can for the least amount of effort, get lazy, fat, and die. Technology doesn't change people. It evolves. We do not.

Sadly, yes, agree.

And I highly doubt a machine would intelligently mow my acreage. It’s got stumps and holes and fences and trees and plants to go around. Not to mention some hilly areas that are tricky when a human is doing it.
We won't be able to afford that. A new economic model will have to be implemented, otherwise all the AI will grind to a halt due to lack of demand and we all starve to death or become a wild Mad Max society.

As for mowing your acreage and other things, AI will be able to do it, faster and better. Just give it enough time for the technologies to be developed. May be beyond our lifetimes but it will happen.

If AI will do all the work needed for humans to survive, then what do we need money for?

And this post-scarcity thought experiment is exactly how you reach the fundamental problem of economics: how do we decide who owns the means of production?

I don't know if that world will come in our lifetimes though.

It seems like humans are getting increasingly busier even with all the advances in technology that keep happening. Kind of ironic.
Humans will get less and less busy, and make less and less money as the years go by. I am not looking forward to that AI transition because it will likely be painful. Once all those problems are solved, if ever, then it will become a more stable world. Maybe.
