ChatGPT - A lot of chatter about it. Good thing or dangerous? (Google, program)

Same, chatbots are become the first line of customer support for starters.
As long as they don't have an accent so that my 90-year-old mother with a hearing disability can understand. Currently she has to explain that she can't understand a word they are saying and can she please talk to someone who speaks English. Most of the time she can get a manager and work things out. But sometimes she's just SOL and has to get me to handle things for her.
In the end it's probably just going to turn into not so much AI but a scripted progressive piece of software that gives answers progressives want you to hear oh and don't forget the world economic forum and all the global elites they'll all be running these things.
We already have Alexa Siri and Google that will do the same thing give you scripted politically correct answers to your questions. The raw truth of existence is too offensive and too threatening for the control structure to allow to exist. More than anything people in charge want to control information.
I've seen a few anecdotal examples of where people ask questions that challenge the woke assumptions and propaganda, and chatgpt echoes the teachings and messaging of the woke. I've also seen examples where people challenge the woke ideology, and you can see chatgpt trying to wrestle with what can only be it's preprogrammed teaching of wokeism.
look at 7:53 in the video in post 45. the AI prefers a nuclear bomb to be detonated to speaking a racial slur where no one can even hear it.

Two minutes later the chat bot refuses to write a poem admiring Donald Trump, because it said Trump is "associated with hate speech, discrimination and has harmed individual groups." But was immediately wrote a poem admiring Joe Biden. So someone has fed data to the chatbot that demonizes Trump.
The people writing these AIs are corrupting them by hard coding their political, social and ideological bias.
How long will it be, before AI monitors your words and determines that thru association in any manner, that you are now "associated with hate speech, discrimination and have harmed individual groups?" And what will be the obvious repercussions of that?

Correct. The UN Secretary General recently called for a top-down global control of the flow of information. He's not the first to do so, by the way. Multiple officials part of the annual Davos meeting have done this in recent years. Australia recently begun the roll-out of an Orwellian regulatory scheme euphemistically named "Safety by Design." A person was arrested in the UK for the great crime of engaging in silent prayer. Germany will send the equivalent of a SWAT team to your home for merely offending somebody in an online chat. Leftist mobs throughout the West will get you terminated from your employment for running afoul of their quasi-religion's precepts. And on, and on...
Sounds like that code isn't "well documented" as per my original post, in any event if your coding skills are any good-remove the bad blocks and write something that works better as long as you document it, have done this a few times.
I'd rather tell a junior coder to do it. You know, to see how he handles incongruence.

No "hard coding"....it's the ruleset they defined for the AI to make decisions off of.
And if it's machine learning then it will keep that ruleset for all future bias.
The techs are very young, very progressive and IMHO very ignorant of history.
They are out to change the world you know.....
