I was concerned so I had a lengthy appt with an allergist who looked up all the meds I react to including one injection causing anaphylaxis against ingredients in Phizer and Moderna vaccines and he urged me to get the vaccine because he did not see anything that would cause problem for me. I went with my epipen and waited 30 min after the vaccination and I had no allergic problems.

I spoke to a group of about 50 pharmacists that were giving injections all day long, 5-6 days a week. Only one said that she had a patient with an anaphylactic reaction.

Several reported mild rashes.

An older pharmacist friend of mine said that he has a generalized rash covering his body after the first dose. He took Benedryl and all was well. At the time of his 2nd dose they were ready with Epipens and Benedryl, he only had the same generalized rash controlled by the antihistamine

Apparently thousands are and a little less have died from it. Why get it anyway? Virus is basically DOA at this point. But hey, keeping people scared is profitable for vaccine/drug makers.

I jusd my first shot of the Pfizer vaccine. It was rather routine, no after effects at all, no dizziness, no soreness at all.
Much ado about nothing. Second shot scheduled in two weeks. One big "MEH". At least now I'm immune. Hopefully we can do away with this mask madness in a couple weeks.

No one is "immune" after getting vaccinated. The point of the vaccine is to LESSEN the symptoms of Covid and prevent death if you do happen to contract the virus. You are still able to catch Covid, and pass it to others even after being vaccinated.

I guess you haven't heard the latest news.

But even if you had, this thread is about ALLERGIES, not about putting people down because they deviate from the orthodoxy.

In my family, we have a penicillin allergy, a sulfa allergy, a shellfish allergy, and hayfever/pollen allergies. All of us have had at least one of the doses of Pfizer or Moderna and there have been no reactions other than a sore arm/headache/fatigue. We all waited 15 minutes for observation (I waited closer to 30 just because I was nervous, but I was perfectly fine.)

My allergist said I should have the J&J vaccine because it's only one dose, so even if I had anaphylaxis from it, I would be protected from covid afterwards. (I have had a reaction like that to the flu shot, but I've been on xolair to reduce my reactions for a couple years.)

I got the vaccine yesterday, felt warm and nauseated right afterwards but nothing worse, came home and went to sleep about 6pm, got up today at 3pm. I've had some nausea and diarrhea, and one side of my face has rows of hives, but those are pretty minor reactions for me because of the MCAS.

I'm never going to complain about rosacea again.
