If you ever get the chance, read the book Mud Honey and Maggots (something like that) and it's about medical ways people used to care for themselves, patients, etc.. home remedies that actually worked and it's quite a good read.
One of things it talked about was that back in the day, people would pee on a clean rag in the morning and use it on their skin to fight acne. Your urine is sterile to your own body. I wouldn't personally do it but hey, it actually was a thing that people did.
I read something about this once. As I recall, they were saying the urine was sterile while inside your body, but you had to filter it into a sterile cup in order to be able to um ..... ingest it. Now, I don't care how good drinking urine is supposed to be for you, I would never in a million years drink urine. Heck, I'd even have to think about that one if I were stranded in a plane crash like that movie from the 70's called "Alive". I would probably die of thirst!
