Again as I am always trying to point out to those who visit this thread the posts you read are "opinions" even though many forget to make that point! It is very important to understand that. Unless they are a Doctor who has indeed studied the subject or been in a controlled test or even just tried it personally then it is only an opinion and not a fact! Many treatments seem beyond odd to me personally--acupuncture comes to mind--sticking needles in my body to get relief but there are many who say it works and there are Doctors who use it and it has facts backing it up. But still it sounds odd to me..... So even oil-pulling as odd as it sounds just may have some benefits--I can't see where it could hurt anyone and surely just because a person posting here thinks it sounds disgusting, and it does really, and cannot personally see how it could benefit you that should not be the reason you choose not to give it a try if you wish.
Just one more article about this oil-pulling. It would be wonderful if it did infact help with dental problems--but as pointed out--it's very important not to forget that this may not help and you do still should go and see a professional doctor to see if you still need traditional treatments.

If it can pull your fillings, than it can pull the bad stuff as well.

Oil "pulling" doesn't "pull" anything....it is absolute nonsense...the supposed "science" behind the miracle of oil pulling could be debunked by the average 7th grader.
Most alternative sites even ridicule this nonsense.
I do this everyday with unrefined coconut oil. I put it in my mouth right before I get in the shower. By the time I'm out and dressed, it's time to spit it out.
I've never done it with any other oil. Imo coconut oil is special.
