It helped that he had done it a few times before. The hardest parts were removing a stubborn axle and bench pressing the tranny once all the bolts were removed from the engine. Other than that it was pretty straightforward (then again the Sentra/200SX is a straightforward car altogether). 10 hours seems to be a bit much to remove a tranny but then again I dont know what is different in Audis.

Replacing a clutch will be $700 and up depending on the car. That's about what I paid on an Escort, but it included a new slave cylinder, pilot and throwout bearings.
