Sad, sad news. It is time to fear the worst, I believe.

As an aside: the CNN coverage I have been watching has been near abysmal, save for one guy who knows what he is talking about. For a long time they were referring to the aircraft as a seven-seven and had Boeing spelled as 'Bowing.' And it would have been helpful if they had mentioned how long the aircraft has been missing for, not just stated how much fuel it has/had while neglecting the important bit - time.

Sad News. People of 13 Nationalities were on board with about 160 Chinese nationals. It went missing in South China Sea close to Vietnam. There is a rumour that plane may have landed at Nanning but it has been quashed. Still waiting for Press Conference.

The map that Harrier viewed showed its last contact over the Vietnam mainland, not in the SCS.

Haha, no doubt. As a pilot, I can barely stand to watch the news coverage of aviation stories. Makes me doubt their credibility when they talk about matters that I am not intimately familiar with. And don't even get me started on politics.

Vietnam is a small and densely populated country wouldn't we know right away if this plane did go down?
