Well, the Twins did it.

I'll tell you one thing, Joe Mauer might be the greatest catcher of all time when it's all said and done, and he's just hitting his stride.

Considering how many catchers we have,I really doubt it.More likely that we'd go after another starter or a power outfielder in the offseason.

HA! Perfect. The Yankees have now reached complete and utter over-confidence saturation. The trap has been set! The worm is about to turn.

I got a lot of crap last year in other forums and IRL when I told people I was happy enough with the WhiteSox just making it to the postseason. Once they won their one game playoff, the rest was just gravy. It is not as if I was rooting against them, but I was very content with them winning the division. Turns out they lost in 4 in the ALDS to the Rays, but it didn't sting as bad as 2000 when they lost to Seattle. I think I would kind of feel the same way if I was a Twins fan, although I had a more recent World Series victory to calm me down as well.

Orangeish, I honestly believe we can and will take this series and more importantly you'll see that the Twins do too. I really like the way Gardy manages the game and his players. He was hand-picked by Tom Kelly for a reason. You won't here any of the key players ***** (much) about the call but of course they will be disappointed with the opportunities wasted. Worry a bit about Nathan and the bugaboo the Yanks have on him but I think he will save a couple games for them before this is through. I also believe that there may be a bit of positive vibe and influence left in the dome and the day off will help. And when they win Sunday...well, cripes, by my count the Yankees lost at least 3 games in a row 7 different times this season.

I guess the pain must be the airplane ride back to Yankee Stadium in those uncomfortable airline seats as we wait for the Angels to finish off their series.Sorry Twins fans but you are overmatched this year.A valiant effort by a very respectable team but you came up short(as of Sunday).

Well, that's it for the Twins - and the Hefty Dome, at least as far as baseball is concerned.

FWIW, the Trash Bag became the Mall of America Field as of last Monday, if memory serves correct.

Oh well, just the Vikes problem now...
