Default Seasons Of Change

Well, the Rays do offer a refreshing change in the AL East race, but I've been wanting to see the Orioles make a nice comeback. Now, we get to say goodbye to Yankee Stadium, with many years of grandeur, legend, and story after story after story. Many a great moment took place in that facility whether we liked the Yankees or not. I may not be a Yankee fan and I don't care much for NYC, but I have to tell you, you do get a little wistful sometimes when you see something of this nature come to a close. It was a huge era, but all good things ultimately come to an end. The new Yankee Stadium is going to be great, as it will be more majestic than ever. But I can understand perfectly when a fan gets attached to something very important and you can't be blamed when it's hard to let go. Sure, it's only a ballpark. To baseball fans, it has been much more.

As for that Yankee team, well, something like this was inevitable. They had their dynasty earlier in the decade. Now, someone else is in the spotlight. Ebbs and flows. I can't explain it any better than that. It's part of baseball, folks.

The AAA Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees will be in the playoffs, if any Yankee fans are hungry for some postseason baseball....

The post season just isn't the post season without the Braves and Yankees, because it was fun to see NY's varsity team choke. Go Phillies or Marlins die Mets (not literally).
