Nurse to Houston was the hot rumor running for the past couple of weeks so this isn't that surprising. I kinda expected him to be gone to Houston next year anyways, only thing this "firing" does is make it so the Rockets don't have to send compensation back to the Raptors in order to get Nurse's services. OG Annouby and Pascal Siakham were hot trade commodities at the deadline, and were strong contenders to get dealt in the offseason, and also wouldn't be surprised to see them go. Probably a retooling year coming up.
As for Udoka I want him nowhere near the Raptors like ever. He may be a great coach sure, but what he does off the court a complete distraction I want no part of. If the Celtics didn't want him as an unwanted distraction coming off the finals appearance, then I certainly don't want him.
Udoka wouldn't even be a step up from Nurse. I'm not sure why Raptors let Nurse go unless they just want to go a different direction. Nurse is one of the best coaches in the league, so this is baffling. I read elsewhere from Raptors fans that he may have lost the locker room & checked out before the season even ended.

Nurse won the title his first year there (with a little help from key injuries on the Warriors). Last 3 seasons he has an overall losing record. Only one playoff appearance in 3 years. A first round loss.
They should have been better than that.
