Total domination. UConn w/ the second widest margin of victory in an NCAA tournament- fell just a basket shy of 09 North Carolina. Five national championships puts them in rarified air. Pretty much the ho-hum game I expected. We heard and saw a zillion times the Hurley family in attendance. Was Jim Calhoun there? Kind of weird there was no mention of Calhoun. I’m sure Kevin Ollie wasn’t, lol. And no tribute to Jim Nantz, calling his last Final 4. That surprised me.

There may not have been something on TV, but it was indeed mentioned during the Final 4 and I suspect last night with Nance standing up and receiving applause from the crowd.

So glad UConn crushed them.

I haven't seen the score from last night. It's not important. This comment from the UConn coach is important.

An NCAA committee could soon announce a recommendation on potential expansion of the NCAA tournament field, but UConn men's basketball coach Dan Hurley says he believes the tournament is fine with 68 teams.
But it's not perfect. Hurley, who coached Rhode Island before accepting the UConn job in 2018, said the formula for selecting teams sometimes rewards teams with brand names over deserving mid-major schools.

"I do think, though, that there are probably mid-major programs, a lot of times, that are more deserving than like a 10th-place team in a power conference that has figured out how to just game the numbers, so I'll say that. I see that on Selection Sunday sometimes. And I cringe at that."
