Rick Pitino must either love the game of basketball, be one of the most patient coaches of all the time, or both. He left Louisville to coach Iona and they haven’t performed like they should with a coach of this caliber. I am disappointed Iona didn’t go dancing this year.
I really want Iona to win. Not just because I live in the same state, but the school deserves more for being a D1 school. Not to mention, they lost their football program after 2008.
I graduated college ten years ago, so now it’s another generation that will be spectators, and I really wanted Iona to win when I was younger.

1) He didn't leave Louisville on his own terms. He committed violations and was forced out.
2) He spent a year(s) coaching in Greece between getting fired/terminated/suspended from Louisville to coaching Iona so he didn't go to Iona straight away after leaving Louisville.

You beat me to it. The first thing in college coaching is recruiting. And he was a dirty recruiter who got caught. Harder to do it the correct way in a mid major school. However he was 25-8 there last year and made the NCAA tournament the year before. He is doing ok there.
Adam Miller removed his name from the draft and would play for LSU.
He last played for Illinois, then transferred after one season to LSU. He tore an ACL and never played a game for LSU. Got cleared to play but opted to declare for the draft and is now coming back to LSU.
Meanwhile, Duke and Arkansas leading in recruiting power ranking. Nothing new with Duke there but great job by Arkansas. Alabama, Kansas and Texas rounds up the top 5.
According to maestro Dick Vitale, UNC, KY, AK, Houston, and Gonzaga are the top 5 for next year. I would argue Creighton (which was his 6th), should be 2nd.
