Because the husband is not involved. Oh well tell her to schedule the divorce in the summer.
Nice stadium for UAB and Birmingham. Should do very well amazing all the obstacles had to go through to get it built.

Alabama plays Ole Miss.

UAB inaugurates the new stadium in a pretty good matchup against Liberty.

Auburn plays LSU.

And yet, I'm going to be toe-tapping watching all the bride-cuts-the-cake nonsense. I bet if I go into the kitchen of wherever the reception is, there will be a TV on.
UGH. My condolences.

yeah, my estimate would've been around 30,000. do you know if ESPN's number is "tickets sold" or actual number of tickets scanned? hard to tell exactly, because there are literally THOUSANDS of people in the concourse at any given time (and therefore not in their seats). the setup is similar to Regions Field in that you can usually keep an eye on the game from just about anywhere, so you have lots of people in line for concessions or just hanging out / socializing on one of the many terraces / plazas.

i saw some people on twitter complaining that it wasn't a sellout, but i think that was a tad ambitious for UAB football. i get that it's opening night, but even the bowl game doesn't typically draw that many. in my book, it was a success. the atmosphere was great, and the stadium certainly felt lively and full.

i should add that, in true Birmingham fashion it absolutely POURED about an hour before the game started (as people were starting to enter the stadium)... this after it hadn't rained in weeks haha. fortunately it was brief.

Scan tickets coming through the gates counts only. Not purchased numbers. If every ticket was bought and no one went inside, it's zero attendance.
