"Boston Mayor Michelle Wu flatly denied speculation that she is considering leaving office for a job at Harvard University." - Boston Herald
https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world...er/ar-AA1glyfe

Has she concluded the job is not as easy as it may look? If she leaves, Ed Flynn would make a great Mayor. Bright, humble, and compassionate. Knows the city inside and out, just like his father.

She'd fit in well there.

I like Ed Flynn, but I'd be sad to see Wu go prematurely. I was skeptical, but I think she's demonstrated a fair deal of pragmatism. Plus, I appreciate her urbanist and green initiatives. Still, I know being Mayor is likely not her ultimate career goal.

pragmatism yes. I do see that. I think she has made some really bad hires for the sake of "change" and I also think that every time she speaks she sounds unconfident and scripted, like Mack Jones. They have the same uninterested cadence.

I knew she would be a one-termer but I didn't expect her to bail midway through her first term.

She fancies herself a political star. This job is more gritty than she anticipated.

It's always been rumored that she was only going to do one term.

I mean she did deal with covid, crazy police protests amongst other things...it was a lot.

Actually nvm, she didn't become mayor until November 2, 2021

'Gritty' is the right word.

She's no urban mechanic.
