Tyson would KO Ali early IMHO....... largely due to the advancements of sports science, training methods, diet and strength and conditioning.

Why wouldn't Ali be able to use these "advancements" as well?
Also, I don't care how advanced the training methods are because at the end of the day, it's about the athlete and that comes down to genetics, work-ethic, and skills.
Ali was an amazing athlete. You can't teach Ali's speed. How exactly would Ali benefit from all these modern methods?
Obviously, his legs and punching power weren't a problem, nor were his reflexes. Unless of course you're talking about PEDs.
Tyson fight in an era ripe for his style and he had minimal challengers so it's kind of hard to judge. Here are my 2 thoughts
The match would mirror the fights with Smoking Joe.

Ali had granite chin and unfathomable desire so Ali would have withstood Tyson`s early round attack. On the flip side, given Tyson's chin, I predict a knockout after the 10th round.
I believe Ali in his prime in about 1966 would have beaten 1988 Tyson. Maybe even 1974 Ali would have beaten 1988 Tyson.
Most of Tyson's opponents were beat before they climbed in the ring. I predicted to a work friend, that the first strong, hard hitting opponent to stand up to Tyson would beat him. Along came Buster Douglas, and bingo!!
Ali feared no opponent. He would have dismantled Tyson over eight rounds.
Now, I would have liked to see a prime Frazier v Tyson. That would have been a fight.
Muhammed Ali's prime was before his enforced recess. Angelo Dundee always maintained that, and said the Ali who returned just wasn't capable of doing some of the things the earlier model Ali could.
Tyson was explosive, powerful and more accurate than many give him credit for.
Ali was not only one of the fastest and craftiest heavyweights of all time, he also had one of the all-time best chins.
When considering a matchup between the two I see Ali's reach and evasiveness being big factors. Ali also has the capacity to be able to find a way to win, even switching tactics mid-fight. Ali also has one of the best cornermen in the business in Dundee.
Ali to win. Doubt he stops Tyson. But wouldn't totally discount it.
Ali would have frustrated Tyson. Mike would have given up, after being unable to bite Ali's ears.
