Moving to canada (school, university, income)

My wife and I are considering moving to canada summer of 2017. the three locations that we are looking are vancouver or toronto. We are looking for a place that is not strictly city, she is a country and has to have , easy access to fishing (with fish that she can eat), rivers and lots of grass and trees. I, howeve, am a city girl and do not want to be more than 30-20 minutes from shopping. if we could find somewhere that has the best of both worlds that would be amazing. Any opinions or information would be greatly appreciated. TIA

Have you checked with Canada to make sure you can live there permanently?
They do have an immigration policy with restrictions and guidelines that must be followed exactly.
That would be the place to start before even planning to move there.

That criteria could fit much of Canada, I'd suggest looking in Canadas Maritime provinces New Brunswick , Nova Scotia or Prince Edward Island.

okay so ill be moving in with my girlfriend who lives in canada. so what do i need to do if i want to stay permanently. Someone told me i would have to do some type of school in order to staythink:
ill be 18 in october 12... i plan on moving in the summer with her

If you want to be a permanent resident of Canada you have to immigrate.. Start here=

You'll need to apply to a local university or some other type of school, get accepted, and apply for a student visa.

In that I hold a French birth certificate, I wonder if I would qualify to immigrate to Quebec?

Should I be left a widow, my husband is 70, ten years older than me, I am considering my options.

I am increasingly dissatisfied with the Banana Republic of America.

Any one have an idea? I will have my retirement income to take care of myself.

No, a French birth certificate or even a passport does not grease the wheels to get into Quebec.
