I like the way she points behind her when talking about “older French.”
Do French speakers from other countries “get” moi and toi from the context?

it might - it certainly is something I relate to bygone days when Britian had an empire. So something that was used in India

I think there is a fine line between being open to Indian influence and newcomers, and being open to all of the socio-cultural norms of India gaining more and more ground and becoming normalized here.
