Be Wary of Cancer 'Cures'

While some alternative therapies can help, many don't work. Research shows that up to 30% of people with cancer have tried a so-called "cure" that doesn't have any benefits. They can be a waste of time and money. Even worse, some of these "remedies" are dangerous to your health and may affect how well other cancer treatments work.
I hope this helps someone

A more appropriate title for this article is "Cancer 'Remedies' That Don't Line The Pockets of the Conventional Medicine Money Machine" (perhaps the same money machine pictured in the headline image, the one that sits on the desks of most present day MDs)

Someone actually was convinced getting a coffee enema would conquer their cancer? Did they use decaf?

Sadly, there will always be desperate people willing to try anything, and there will always be greedy people willing to profit from that desperation. It is not limited to just cancer.

Ya never know. Maybe someday we'll discover that the cure to cancer is very simple and that the main causes have been due to human stupidity all along.

The cure for cancer is not going to be simple because cancer is not one disease. There are a zillion different types of cancer. Some respond to surgery, some respond to radiation, some respond to different drug therapies, some spontaneously remit, some kill quickly, some take decades to become deadly, some don't spread at all. Some we can already cure, some we can't do much for.

Human stupidity has nothing to do with it. However, thanks to human intelligence, there are many types of cancer that can be effectively treated now which we could do little or nothing for just a few years ago. About ten years ago, one of my friends died quickly after her breast cancer spread to her bones. Recently, another friend found that her breast cancer has also come back in her bones. She has the expectation of at least another decade of quality life because of improved therapies for this condition which we didn't have just a few years ago.

Don't forget one other variation that plays into this. Individual variation. A cancer that tends to respond well to radiation or a particular chemo regimen can behave differently in every patient. Whether it's due to genetics, an individual patient's other health issues, fitness, diet, habits of thinking, auto-suggestion, or sheer luck of the draw, you can't ignore that every person can manifest the same disease in their own way. It is one reason why medicine isn't an absolute.

My elderly neighbor just had surgery for some sort of pre cancer thing that probably never would have hurt her (at her age). . . you never really know what to do. . .

https://www.mayoclinic.org/tests-pro...t/art-20047246

"To help you sort out the good from the bad, here are 11 alternative cancer treatments that are generally safe. Plus, there is growing evidence that these treatments may provide some benefit."

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4017674/

"Plants Against Cancer: A Review on Natural Phytochemicals in Preventing and Treating Cancers and Their Druggability"

So, it is not "one size fits all". Also, don't expect anyone to fund studies on alternatives, as there is no money in that, nor will we see the government fess up to the causes. I would rather look at preventing well before hand, which, of course our family has always done, than depend on the Medical Machine!

I have watched people go through cancer treatment, and it wasn't pretty. I also saw them die after spending a lot of money on the Big Pharma treatments, and watched them suffering from the treatments.

Seriously, spend time looking at a way to prevent it, along with other illnesses. There is a lot of info on prevention on the internet, and it is more worthwhile than FB or Twitter. Invest in your future!

Unfortunately you dont understand that all of our food has to go through our gut and if that is not working correctly and if it is gummed up with old meat, seeds, nuts and other rubbish, then it cannot deliver the quality of nutrients which are needed to combat a serious illness.

Enemas help to clear out all that old stuff and coffee is probably used as a stimulant to get things working again.

As the last poster said - become informed and throw away those biases.
