Trader Joes will probably be more successful here than Whole Foods since its cheaper. I usually go to Walmart and Save a Lot since I don't think there things are inferior to Kroger even though Kroger is seen as the upscale place.

I do go to Kroger once in a while for more "Exotic" things and I do like the deli and hot and cold foods place at the Ashton Place Kroger's in South Hills. Kroger and Walmart do have organic things. Some people look down on Walmart but there's nothing wrong with their food, its always been fresh and I've never had issues. Even Save a Lot has decent stuff though the offering is not as big. Foodland is overpriced.

If West Virginia gets either of these stores, the first location will probably be in Morgantown or the Eastern Panhandle (around Martinsburg or Charles Town). I think these areas have more of the kind of consumers they think their base consists of. Also Morgantown has lots of out of state kids who are already accostumed to Whole Foods. This is less true for Marshall which is a smaller school.

Im surprised there's no Trader Joes in Morgantown catering to the professors and students or in the Eastern Panhandle with all the DC area transplants. Five Guys is not a typical WV thing and its from Northern Virginia but its in Charleston and Huntington now.

And on the lower end of the scale......I am truly hoping that Denny's, Waffle House, and Chipotle come here. Also hope Sheetz opens more locations closer to Charleston, the closest one to me now is Poca and its a 25 minute drive, they got some great all night food. Wish there were more all night places. Dwight's in St. Albans is the only one that's 24 hours all the time.

Sheetz has been trying to expand into Charleston but the issue they are having is that they can't find enough flat suitable and affordable land needed for their stores.

Chipotle recently opened their location in downtown Huntington and the location at the Huntington Mall is scheduled to open soon too. I would assume its only a matter of time before they have a location in Charleston.

This is amazing and much awaited news!!!! When Chipotle finally comes here to the Charleston area, I won't be going to Qdoba anymore. I just hope its not in the Town Center mall I hate paying for parking there. Kanawha City, Corridor G, and Cross Lanes would all be great locations for a Chipotle.

I also hope they open more Chick fil A's around too.
