although this is shocking it seems to me it could have happened at any number of places in the chicago area.

Yeah it happened like a mile from my house but instead of cats the guy had reptiles. Even though you "know" your neighbor you really don't know your neighbor heck my dad was friends with Jeffery Dahmer and had no idea. Instead of Berwyn try Melrose Park, a little better but still gets a bad rap.

A very sad story. My heart goes out to the children and animals which were involved in this. Unfortunately, in a town of 56,000 people, things are going to happen from time to time. We don't live in a perfect world.
