All I can say is WOW... I was born and raised in Chicago...South Suburbs and I NEVER knew how beautiful other parts of Chicago was until I seen your pictures...I've been up north and I lived in Downers Grove for a year and of course been up and down and through downtown...but your pictures are really nice...the homes are captured beautifully and the streets look so clean...good representation of Chicago.

Thank you!

I have many, many, many more pics I could post, but havent had the time lately. Ill try and get them up soon. Most of those were shot around DuPage and Kane Counties, which IMO are quite scenic, with many charming cities to visit.

There are some fabulous pictures here. However this thread is less than its potential could be because the pictures are not captioned. For example where is bonefish grill. I doubt Wheaton because I have not seen it here.

I think this could be really helpful for the endless parade of people asking what various suburbs are like. Some are quite beautiful. I recently rode around McKee Marsh, St. James Farm and Blackwell Preserve and I was really struck by the beauty there.

Judging by this thread, Chicago has an amazing array of historic and streetcar suburbs. They are awesome. I knew about the north short suburbs, but jeez. That said, I searched this thread and am not finding any photos of the north shore suburbs like Wilmette, Winnetka, Glencoe, Highland Park, and Lake Forest. I think those small lakefront village-style suburbs that are walkable and transitable into the city are some of the neatest places in the country.
