An oldie but goodie. I snapped this 3 years ago.
Mullets in the ocean waves. It happens every year around September after our first hard north wind or "first mullet blow".
We took a ride over to Beaufort Sunday morning, hoping to see the Nina and Pinta but their visit has been canceled (http://beaufortsbest.blogspot.com/2009/05/pinta-nina.html - broken link).
Though we ran through rain coming and going, once we crossed the bridge from Morehead City; the skies were blue, and the waters were filled with boats.
The picture was snapped from the Maritime Museum's Gallant's Channel Annex.
In the distance you can see the Beaufort draw bridge in the up position.
After watching boats for a few minutes we drove through Beaufort. It was packed with visitors.

Reason: Left out word
Is it just me, or are all of you WAYYY too talented as photographers NOT to be doing that professionally?
Seriously, these photos are FABULOUS!! You are making me wish I could be there NOW!!
One of my stops today was Oriental. These trawls were docked at Garland Fulcher's seafood. The foreground trawl headed out about 10 minutes after this photo.
God bless them all!

A picture that i snapped a few years ago from the sidewalk near Beaufort. You can see one of the wild ponies grazing near the middle of the photo. I'm headed back in a month and just can't wait!

Reason: Not all My Words started with a capital letter. Wanted to keep them all that way.
Visited Emerald Isle in '07, went down to Oceanana Fishing Pier & Took A Few Pictures. This Was One Of My Favorites I Took Late That Afternoon.
