I just gave away 2 large bags of VHS tapes to a friend whose sister and daughter watch them. Most were Disney but had New Zealand/Australia travelogue, Led Zeppelin, The Ted Shies, several years of Twin Peaks. I am so glad that I didn't have to throw them away.

Now, to give away 8 boxes of books.
