I know it isn't exactly a bargain, but I bought a painting for $330. at an auction and I later sold it for $2300.

I am not a Gamer, and gave it to a guy I worked with, who is deep into Nintendo. He said it was a limited production that had more levels than the ones after it, but was pulled from production for some lame reason, so it was supposed to be rare. It must have been special since its his prized possession now.

You did real well. That's a very nice profit. I also got my best deal at an Auction, which was a Pairpoint Puffy Lampshade that was appraised at 15,000 to 20,000 dollars, for a 68 dollar bid. Its all about being in the right place at the right time. Cost me more for the appraisal than the cost of the lamp shade.

A Kate Spade purse....in new condition, NWOT. Bought it for $5! Its her classic, bucket shape, black, medium size. Its my go-to purse for formal occasions, like funerals, etc. It would cost about $300 new, and something I wouldn't invest in, but nice to have in my wardrobe for contingencies. I have no intentions to get rid of it, nor is it something I would pay good money for. Just something to have as a contingency!

I was at a garage/house sale and there was a box of jewelry on the floor. At a glance it all looked like junk, but I picked a bracelet up and it didn't feel like costume jewelry. I just had that "feeling" it was gold, so I bought it, some other odds and ends, and pieces of old furniture for $40.

It had some damage with the links so I took it to my jeweler. He fixed it and offered to buy it for his wife for $1200. I decided to keep it. That was a long time ago. I imagine it's worth even more now.
