This acreage in SE Columbia around Burnside Elementary school behind Lowes and the Super Walmart on Garners Ferry would appear to be prime real estate for residential development. I am just wondering why it hasn't redeveloped. Its in the middle of an existing fairly stable series of subdivision and near the retail core along Garners Ferry Road. Several Hundred homes could be created in this area adding to the population, support existing and future retail and not contribute to additional sprawl in Lower Richland.. Aside from the owner(s) being not wanting to sell (or sell for a reasonable price) I have no clue why this area has remained dormant for so long.. Any thoughts?????
Any one aware of the construction across from the Captain D's? Also are there other plans then the Tractor Supply Company behind the Walgreens/CVS area?

Is Tractor Supply Company is opening a store on Garner's Ferry Road?
Good deal.. I wish more of SE Cola/ Lower Richland would come into the City Limits. That area will certainly add to the tax base
