I'm glad they covered Columbus live. I would have taken the opportunity after the coverage to ask why Montgomery (I realize it's a state capital), and Albany (a city about a third the size of Columbus) are always shown on the Weather Channel's coverage map---but never Columbus (Georgia's second largest city)!

Have always thought that was odd too.

I doubt if the people sent to Columbus to cover the story would have any idea why Columbus was excluded on the map.



I do agree however, it does seem odd though. It seems various maps will include and exclude cities for arbitrary reasons. I've seen maps with cities larger than Columbus excluded while including Columbus on them.
