1.) Where exactly in Franklinton (West, NW, East, South etc) You don't HAVE to lists streets but that would be helpful.
2.) How safe do you feel walking during normal hours?
3.) Do you like living there?
4.) How has it changed since you arrived?

Thanks so much!
Franklinton is kind of an odd, surreal place. I used to work in Franklinton. There is a 1980 movie, Popeye, staring the late Robin Williams. The town in that movie reminded me of Franklinton; everything a little out of kilter.

Basically it's the area immediately west of downtown. Roughly, it's bordered by 670 on the north, the Scioto River to the east and I-70 to the west and south. Some people would consider the area east of Cooper Stadium, north of Greenlawn and west of I-71 part of Franklinton (I personally do not, but if someone here disagrees I am sure I'll be corrected).
On another note, the earlier comment of "... certainly, it also provides police forces, like New Albany to freely pursue their goal of a whites-only city by arrest and brutally beating any non-white person brave or stupid enough to cross the towns borders" one of the most clueless comments about central Ohio I have ever seen anyone make. I spend a ton of time in New Albany for work and while it's not nearly as diverse as, say, Gahanna, Reynoldsburg or Westerville, it is nothing like described here. Rich town? Yes. Hostile or racist? Two of the last words I would associate with New Albany.

I lived in Franklinton at the intersection of Sullivant and Glennwood, 406 Glennwood ave, from 2005-2006. Drugs and Hookers are everywhere. there was a crack house on every block, and shootings were a common thing multiple times daily. Seeing police raids and helicopters hovering this area was the norm. Surprisingly, its a majoratively white neighborhood.. just abunch of crazy honkeys. i was in my late 20's at the time, i felt safe walking at night, however i knew alot of peoiple in the neighborhood. I wouldnt recommend this to a stranger or someone not used to the projects.
