From a random seafood fact page:
Quote:
Less than 10 percent of the shrimp eaten in the United Sates comes from wild harvests. [...] Over 90 percent of the shrimp eaten in the United States come from farmed sources grown in other countries around the world.
And while there are a lot of arguments for or against farm-raised shrimp, but they are currently much cheaper to produce than wild-catch.

Try the US Coast Guard vessel documentation search: https://maritimedocumentation.us/ves...key=1202b15a97

Numerous "Night Train" vessels are listed, but you can get more detailed information about the boats owner and home port by clicking on the name.

Traveller1976, Captain Virgil, aka Daddy-O was my grandfather and am a bit curious of your post. Virgil owned the Captain V and the Miss Mary around that time.

Hey. My name is Rick. I sailed with Captain Virgil for only three weeks aboard the Captain V. I don't know of him having another boat. His wife had a restaurant in town. Virgil was a mans man. A fine person.
