Delaware is offering a new license plate. $35 of the $50 cost will go toward nuturing "community cat colonies"

Great idea! If a plate of that type was available in my state, I'd buy it.

Yep, this will be my new plate once I get up there and get my car registered in May. Cutest of all the pretty specialty plates!

Like this a lot, although my favorite plates in Delaware are the "classic" black-and-white ones. Have to figure out how to get those when I register my cars this summer!

Anything to help the kitties is a great idea. The thought of a cold and hungry cat is a sad one.

Just about anything the state can do, we can do better. A license plate will call attention to the problem, and that's good, though I'd rather give money directly the the people who do the work.

Interesting point, but having worked in marketing a large part of my life, I must say "it pays to advertise!"
In addition to some of the plate registration money going to the folks who do the work, think about how many other people will see the plate and may take action, including donations, volunteering, etc.

In other words, a win-win.
