Down in the Dumps???? How about "The Funsters".....a Delaware band that will make any evening fun! We're fans of this group, and have never seen a bad show. On May 1, 2021, they'll be at the Milton Theater for an uplifting performance! If you haven't seen them, you're in for a treat!

I'm elated!!! Concerts are coming back, and Ocean Downs Casino has booked some of my favorites! For starters, I'm buying our tickets to see Alice Cooper. I know, I know, he's old....but so am I......I love Alice Cooper. And then, Three Dog Night and Kansas are booked! I'm ready for some fun times!

Thanks for sharing that news! OMG, Three Dog Night!! I had no idea they were still together and touring.

This will take you back. Some years ago, we were vacationing in Ocean City, MD over the week of Labor Day and as we walked down the boardwalk, we heard singing and there was a Concert on the Sand we hadn't known was scheduled. We sat down and listened - it was The Vogues. They were popular a little before I was of the age to remember them on the radio, but OMG did I love their music. I don't think all the originals were appearing, but some of them were and they were divine. I went home and ordered their Greatest Hits CD. There's a reason they call some music The Golden Oldies.

OMG!!! Another music lover! AWESOME!!! If I had time, I'd be an "old" groupie! Of course, at my age, the musicians would probably think I was one of their member's great grandma!!! It all started with me when one of our sons started "playing" drums at age 4. As years went by, we followed his talents to rinky-dink bands, pretty good bands playing lots of night clubs, on to Berklee College of Music, then on to a professional band touring the East Coast. So, he made me what I am! It's been a wonderful experience!

Oh, most definitely RDLR. What a great experience you've had as a result of your son's musical interest and talent!! Sounds like he helped shape you while you were raising him!!

For me, I've always said songs are the soundtrack of our lives. For many of us, a smell or scent can propel us back to a certain place or time and songs also do that. I was talking to a friend years ago and mentioned how some songs can make me feel energized, while others bring out different emotions - happy, sad, wistful, etc. She said music didn't do that for her and I felt SO sorry for her.

Alice Cooper will be nearby?? Oh wow! I am a big fan of his too. Sadly, we quit going to concerts many years ago due to all the smoke--both cigs and weed, cannot stand either. We both work jobs where we are drug tested regularly as well so there's also that concern. We went to a concert at a casino in Atlantic City, NJ about ten years ago because they insisted it was smoke free and very much enforced. Well, that was definitely NOT the case. We haven't been to a concert since then. But...do let me know if you find smoking at concerts to be banned at Ocean Downs.

Anyway, I do hope they bring back the Wine Fest in OC this fall. It was cancelled last year and we had a blast at the one in 2019.
