He'd still need to be 16

You are supposed to apply for a new license in Colorado within 30 days of moving here, so if he was driving with the Idaho license after that 30 days, I think it would end up getting taken away if he got pulled over.

If you are positive you are moving, it's probably not worth it for him to get the Idaho license before you move here

He cannot get a Colorado license if he is under 16. He could (illegally) keep his Idaho license longer than the 30 day grace period. If he were pulled over and said he had just moved here in the past week, he'd probably get away with it. Hard to prove otherwise on the spot.

Looks like the region has changed a bit. 1 store in Highlands Ranch and 1 in Greenwood Village, but the rest are up north. Fort Collins being the furthest north with locations in Longmont, Greeley, Etc. This opens up areas to look, no?

Then maybe focus on Broomfield to start.

If this is the case you could also look at Longmont, Firestone, Frederick, Dacono, Broomfield, Westminster, Thornton, Brighton.

These would all give you easy access north and south with the trip being a little longer south than out to your north locations.

When it comes to school districts I would say look in Adams 12 school districts, Boulder Valley and St Vrain which would cover most of those areas I mentioned above.

Frederick, Firestone, and Dacono are all growing right now. Firestone is probably the most developed out of the 3 but the others won't be too far behind.

I would check Lyons, Longmont, Thorton or Estes park area . The do have some properties with some land. Estes park is little bit more expensive but close to great camping and fishing . I personally love estes park as i try to go up there every month If you need help finding a real estate agent to look for houses let me know . I'm local mortgage banker here in Colorado . Good luck
