I posted this on the cat forum, but since it can also apply to dogs, I’d like to hear experiences from dog owners on this issue:
Has anyone dealt with tooth resorption? I just found out today that one of my cats has this condition (thought to be an auto immune condition, which is not preventable) and she’s scheduled to have dental surgery for it in 10 days. I have never heard of this condition until today, but the vet said that nearly half of all cats over three years old have at least one tooth affected by this condition. in fact, her cat has it too.
Dogs can get this too.
I’m just a wondering if anyone had this condition with their dog and if so, what kind of treatment did you get and how did it go?
