Can you think of actors and actresses who showed a lot of promise in their early roles, then ruined their reputations by appearing in a series of bad movies and TV programs?
Not sure about the movie part, but Lindsay Lohan is doing a great job of ruining herself right now .... I look forward to a week without seeing that girl, or her family, in the media for some type of negative behavior ... It's alarmingly sad. She is surrounded by enablers.

It breaks my heart to see this, because she seemed to have so much promise and intelligence when she did Parent Trap. It's one thing to see the brainless Paris Hilton's destroy themselves, but especially sad with an child actress who ince seemed so smart.
Mickey Rourke is just a train wreck. Way too much cosmetic surgery. He's almost unrecognizable.
He made a detour into professional boxing in the 1990s.
For the record, I'm asking about actors and actresses who made bad career choices, not those who self-destructed due to personal problems such as substance abuse.
After starring in Taxi, the TV series, Jeff Conaway was supposed to become a star, but stardom alluded him. I know he suffered from substance abuse, but I'm not sure if his abuse began before or after his failure to become a star.

It's not plastic surgery, it's having his face bashed in repeatedly. He also happens to be a (now retired) boxer.
