People keep saying Ray Ramono or Carrot Top or Rossane/Seinfeld as if these people are actually prevalent and current pop-culture. If you just watch American sitcoms, of course you don't think anything is funny.

Seinfeld has a bigger fan base than people think. Most years, he is the highest paid comedian. Sure, he still gets millions off the Seinfeld show, but most of it comes from all the touring he does. He has a strong work ethic.
For starters (PS I'm talking people who generally seem well liked, not just "I've heard of them"):
Whoopi Goldberg (although she was good in "Ghost")
Kathy Griffin
Will Farrell
Maggie Cho
Rosanne Barr
David Chapelle
That dork who walks around with a knit cap on and goofy smile and talks to people - how or why on Earth anyone would consider that even remotely amusing or anything other than idiotic I've no idea
I think Dave Chapelle IS incredibly funny. His skits sometimes induce bladder busting in me. Kathy Giffin also, to a certain extent.
Ray Romano - You have no idea how much I can't stand this man.
Ricky Gervise - I can excuse the Brits for liking him, but come on America. Is it that you think you are being so cool "getting him"? I don't get the twit.
Sienfeld - I watched Senfield because of the Krammer guy and Jason Alexander.
Judy Tenuta and that guy she used to appear with. Was his name Elmo?
