People keep saying Ray Ramono or Carrot Top or Rossane/Seinfeld as if these people are actually prevalent and current pop-culture. If you just watch American sitcoms, of course you don't think anything is funny.

Comedians who are POPULAR that I can't stand:
Dane Cook
Larry The Cable Guy
Carlos Mencia
Daniel Tosh (one trick pony)
Jeff Foxworthy
Sarah Silverman

FYI I didn't say "latest trendy comedians" just comedians. And most of those you listed have done a lot more than just a TV show. In fact Seinfeld still tours and is very popular.

Paula Poundstone, nothing against her, I just don't find her act entertaining

Yknow her material I can mostly take or leave, but she is one of the best ever at interacting w/the audience. I thought her Harvard concert was great.

Margaret Cho. She couldn't be more un-funny if she tried.

Seinfeld has a bigger fan base than people think. Most years, he is the highest paid comedian. Sure, he still gets millions off the Seinfeld show, but most of it comes from all the touring he does. He has a strong work ethic.

I think Dave Chapelle IS incredibly funny. His skits sometimes induce bladder busting in me. Kathy Giffin also, to a certain extent.

The ones I don't find funny:

Ray Romano - You have no idea how much I can't stand this man.

Ricky Gervise - I can excuse the Brits for liking him, but come on America. Is it that you think you are being so cool "getting him"? I don't get the twit.

Sienfeld - I watched Senfield because of the Krammer guy and Jason Alexander.
