I'd be surprised if they last more than 5 years ... Probably depends on who's subsidizing the team and how much money they're willing to lose.

NWA may do a little bit better since there are more transplants there than anywhere else in the state (an assumption of my part), but Little Rock can't keep anything other than the travelers minor league baseball team.

NWA had a USL2 team a few years ago that folded itself, so it's more than a bit surprising that they're making a pretty heavy investment in jumping right up to USL champions league. Little Rock's USL2 team has been around a long time and broke attendance records for the league this year (over 7,000 during the playoffs).

Not sure what you mean about LR not retaining minor league teams. The Travelers have been around for almost 100 years, the Rangers are going strong, and the reason arena football and minor league basketball (ABA I think) aren't around isn't because of Little Rock, it's because the league's themselves folded. Hockey is a different story, though its seemingly flare up of popularity in the south about 15 years ago has all but fizzled.
