Did a day trip to Vegas yesterday. Didn't rent a car or booked a room either cause we're only 4 hours away, wasn't there to party or drink hard and we're used to driving. Got to do some nice people and boobies watching, sample a buffet and just touristy stuff. All under $200 bucks for two people. All good.
you bought something completely unneccessary and that shows how frugal you are, huh?
Not to be too hypocritical, but the game in question could have been $4.50 at a local gaming store. Probably wasn't though. Boost in pay....let the man have a little but of fun! I agree though probably isn't considered frugal.
Went to an auto salvage with my son and pulled five parts for my truck. OK, he did the grunt work while I handed him tools. The parts were cheaper than anything that I could have ordered online. I didn't pay shipping. Labor was free! I saved somewhere between 80 and 1,000% on installation. It took a while to coax the parts into their new home. Not too many mechanics will use a Dremel tool to make a part fit. It was an interesting experience.
Ate breakfast w/coffee at home. Coffee, water and lunch all free at work. Dinner was leftovers. Lights on in this room and kitchen only. BUT I ordered a shirt online today from a coupon I got in the mail and it was 40% off....
I needed some summer capris to wear to work, I priced some at the mall no way!!!!!. So I went to Goodwill and found a white, coral, and a light green pair for $3 a pair. Less than one pair at the mall and I better quality/brand too.
Ate what we had. Went to work. Bought nothing so a no spend day. Will save electric tonight since I am so darned tired. Work is exhausting emotionally.
