No need to buy Sunday papers. We have coupon friends in different parts of the country since some coupons are regional. If we want 10 Chunky Soup coupons we have one of them to send us 10. Yes we could buy a paper and get 1 coupon but we would desire 10. Stock up when you match a sale and a coupon.

The best days of couponing are over but there was a time when one person in some region say Georgia would get a coupon $1 off when they bought one item. Others in say Kansas would get $0.75/1. With no doubling in Kansas neither person could get the most value for the coupon so they would trade. Those who could not double 75 cents wanted the $1 coupons and those with the $1 coupon wanted the 75 cent coupon = a trade.

At least once a month or so P&G drops a bundle of paper coupon inserts (same as one would get in Sunday newspapers), at every building in my NYC neighborhood (Manhattan).

Change is constant, you have to adapt to the times.

I highly recommend finding the locations where your local stores place their markdown item.

I shop at Smith's, owned by Kroger, and each store has an end cap where they place clearance.
They also have a section in the freezer aisle and the cheese-lunchmeat aisle, and the produce.

Far far better than any coupons.

Recently, I got some $4+ frozen entrees for 59-89¢ ea! Bought about a dozen.

What’s private? What I bought at the grocery store? The store knows, my credit card company knows. My wife knows. LOL.

Who cares if I bought a bag of chips and got a $1.00 rebate.

I assume everything about me is already known to the bad guys because it most likely is and then I take steps from that point to protect myself. Anything less is naive.

I used 2 coupons today on a feminine product. I got them online by googling the manufacturer. I also got Procter & Gamble coupons yesterday. I just don't need those products.

Coupons are still out there. It isn't as easy as it used to be, though. That is actually good. Although I have always been a somewhat couponer, the extreme couponers were more wasteful than saavy.
