LOL! Pretty sure I’d spend far far more on the bidet than I ever would on toilet paper.
I don't know where you get your TP, but here it costs quite a lot for a pack... now multiply that by how many rolls you use in the household in 10 yrs.
I swear the TP producers consortium have been effectively pull the wool over our eyes in N America concerning bidets. They are the better choice by far but for some reason we think that smudging our poop with pieces of paper makes more sense :P
Are people pooping that much, spending all that on TP???
I poop a couple times a week and spend a few buck a month on TP, much of that usage is for things other than wiping.
You can have your fancy bidet, no thanks.
You only poop a couple times a week? I hope that was sarcasm.
You should be pooping every day, smh. Drink more water. Walk, or something. Eat more vegetables/fiber. You don't want all that waste fermenting in your colon, and being reabsorbed into your system do you. Bleck!
Lol... Some people would look for any imaginary excuse just to resent it and not give it a try. It seems like some sort of a game, or a life goal to just object to particular things or ideas without having any reasonable explanation. And some people are so stuck in their old ways, they just can't open their mind to something new...
Thank you Elnina. Can't rep you again but wanted to let you know I appreciate it. Once I started reading the thread I found lots of good stuff. I think bidets are a wonderful idea. Don't know why folks wouldn't like it.
Y'all are apparently referring to bidet attachments. A bidet is a free-standing unit that requires additional plumbing. It looks much like a toilet. But a bidet seat, or some sort of spray attachment - that is quite different. If you had used the right term it would have made the post much clearer.
I'm still not interested though - just don't see the need. Different strokes!
Unless it is a case of diarrhea, else TP is good enough .
The Europeans use bidet,I think because many European homes are old and they dont have shower or bathtub and in some public places, the toilet is a hole on the ground where you have to stoop down to do #2 and for a woman, you have to stoop down for both #1 and #2,the place is often filthy.
