The 1960s are giving me the Bay Area - student activists at Berklee, hippies, etc.
The 1970s are very New York City for me - Taxi Driver, Annie Hall, Saturday Night Fever. Studio 54 and the whole disco scene.
Actually the 80s for NYC too - Ghostbusters, Do The Right Thing, Moonstruck, Tootsie, Escape from NY, etc. Cyndi Lauper, Pat Benatar, Madonna when she moved to NYC and debuted, etc.
i thought microsft really got big before that like in the 90's and 2000's and not the 10's but i could be wrong so if i am im sorry. It just seems like Gates got real big in the 90's from my memory.
Despite the great fire in 1971 that destroyed 1/3rd of the city and left over 100.000 people homeless it still grew by 200.000+ pop. over the decade.
