Fun Spot America Atlanta literally has Atlanta in its name but it is actually in Fayetteville, Georgia (with a 19K population) which is over a half-hour south of Atlanta.

Nevermind this one, their interview with Middletown mayor Nicole Condrey convinced me that this one is a Planet Oasis-type scam. Middletown is only a half-hour from Kings Island anyways.

There's a chance that a small city or town in the southern half of the United States could become another example.

The list of largest cities of over 200k with an amusement park within its boundaries would be much shorter.

Most amusement parks are in exurban/rural areas in relative proximity to larger cities....

I don't remember if this one was mentioned yet because it hasn't opened yet but there's a new video on the Lost Island Theme Park opening up in Waterloo, Iowa with a population of just 67K in 2022.

Minot ND is just below MSA status and has a zoo.

Dubuque IA has an aquarium.

The Capital Region (1 Million or so) is the smallest market for Six Flags. Richmond, Grand Rapids, and Allentown have Cedar Fair parks (but Allentown can serve for Philly as well).

Some others?
Hershey PA. Hershey Park

In terms of Glens Falls, it is in the CSA, but it is technically its own metro area. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glens_...ropolitan_area

Here's a segment on the Great Escape Six Flags in Queensbury(in between Lake George and Glens Falls with just over 29,000 people): https://spectrumlocalnews.com/nys/ca...-lake-george--
