Gosh, that was a blast from the past rememberance! I use to go to WS as well and enjoyed it way back when. Also, the Ponderosa (went up in Rochester) and the Sizzler was another place.

True, there are no places like that anymore, at least not that I know of.

They do still exist in some places. In the area of Pennsylvania where I reside part time, it is called
Hoss's Steak & Sea House. I'm not sure how they survive these days, but at least they provide a source of income for some people.

Ryans had that Sizzler/Ponderosa format in the beginning. Their was another chain called Quincys too- Steaks,Baked Potato and a Salad Bar. I just think buffets are nasty. People coming in, not washing their hands, grabbing the serving utensils, Yuck No thanks.

-Brioso closed at Cherrydale. Sounds like the space won't be empty long though.

-Much better info on Bounce Agency here: GSA Business | Greenville, SC | Spartanburg, SC | Anderson, SC 15 employees were laid off on Wednesday. This is the only bad news regarding office tenants to come out of downtown in a very long time.

Just found out yesterday that the Book Gallery, a used book store, in Simpsonville is closing next month. This I really hate because there is not another cheap book store around.

It's been over a year since they closed several Jack in the Box locations in the Upstate and I think most are still sitting empty. Wish they would put something else there and I hope the remaining stores stay open.

Hoss's must be doing well to have 36 locations in Pa and WV. Wish they would put one here. That sounds like my kind of place.

I thought everybody was saying the Kmart on Wade Hampton Blvd. was going to close next month. Ummm....not according to the closing list that was released by the company. Glad to see them staying open myself.

I spoke to someone there last week and they told me that Wade Hampton was one of the better performing stores and no danger of it closing. Now the Berea store never seems that busy to me. Was it on the list? would not be suprised.
