I'm hoping Inman begins to attract more substantive dining and shopping options. Downtown has enormous potential and home building is on the upswing there (or it seems to be!).
It will! I believe that they have a plan in place to revive there downtown. Inman Mill Lofts just opened or is opening soon. Also there are a lot of new neighborhoods being built all around Inman.
I would like to see either Ingle's or Publix in Inman.
It’s hard to believe no ingles I know bi Lo did a good business in the 80’s and 90’s there, but I can’t recall if Inman had a community cash? Maybe that’s the reason ingles stayed away.

The Food Lion closed but BI-LO remains. Not a great store. But I would like to see a Publix nearer to Inman. Meanwhile there is a large Ingle's further down Asheville Hwy.

Update: The old BI-LO in Inman has now been converted to Food Lion and the old Food Lion down the street remains vacant. Still hoping for Publix or Harris Teeter.
